Started in Durban in 2010 to offer visitors the unique view of South Africa's most culturally diverse destination & 3rd largest metropolitan. ·The brainchild of Richard, Jonas and Sthembiso, the idea was influenced by experiencing alternative tours abroad. ·This fascinating way of exploring a city, through the local's eyes, gives the customer a glimpse into the real inner workings of South African culture without the stereotypical nonesense.
Street Scene offers outings for everyone, from a city walking tour through Durban's bustling markets, township and shebeen outings to KwaMashu, Inanda or Umlazi, rural villages or incredible bicycle tours to name a few. ·Travel local style with Street Scene to the real home & heart of Africa's people.

City Scene·- Embark on a journey through time and tradition on the streets of downtown Durban. ·Taking off along the vibey Florida Road, learning of ancient pastures where elephants roamed free, upto a sacred lookout spanning d'urban skyline. ·Travel like the locals of old to the commuters daily crossraod - Warwick Triangle.
Succomb to sensory overload at the Victoria, Muti & Early morning markets and encounter the citizens who are the pulse of this vibrant city. ·Educate your palate on the origin of the Bunny Chow as you gorge on traditional fare. ·Slice through arcades connecting the streets and·Chill out with a wettie (beverage) and quench your thirst for knowledge with salty sea legends and anecdotes of a city waiting to be unravelled.·culture alike, hearing about the troubled past, evolving present and bight-eyed future.

HALF DAY TOUR: ·Highlights include Shis'nyama (Township style BBQ), Mahtama Gandhi's home, traditional market, shebeen (local tavern), Ohlange school where Nelson Mandela cast his first vote and discover the Origin of this vibrant township.
