With our main focus on quality offered by the product, we have carefully chosen our portfolio to complement each other. Our knowledge of the products assists in getting the correct information across to the consultants.

With more than ten years experience in the travel industry we are able to offer a comprehensive marketing and sales service to Tour Operators and Travel Agents, with knowledge on what they require to sell the product correctly.

Our services mainly focus on product knowledge. We also offer PR services to the UK market, but we feel that product knowledge is vital, as Southern Africa is a unique destination that requires careful planning for a trip.

Tolene van der Merwe - General Account Manager

Having grown up in the Eastern Cape of South Africa and with a passion for tourism and wildlife, Tolene started her career with Exclusive Getaways in Cape Town. Booking holidays was the best part of the day, apart from always wanting to be a wildlife conservationist, Tolene felt that sales and educating the industry is where she should finally land. 

Favourite spot in the world:   Tolene loves Witsand, a quaint little bay, that out of the school holidays is dead quiet, allowing endless walks on the beautiful unspoilt beaches and if you can get out of bed early enough, you can find whole pansy shells on the beach.  One of the nicest whale spotting areas, second to Hermanus. 

Favourite thing about travelling:  Tolene enjoys seeing how the rest of the world live, an eye opener has been the United States, larger than life and so different from one coast to the next.  A desire has been to hire a camper van and travel around America, visiting all the areas.

Favourite thing about the Travel Industry: Tolene loves the people in this industry, loves how passionate the Southern African tourism industry is, a desire to educate, enjoy and live life to the fullest.  Hard work pays off in this industry and the African travel industry knows how to work hard and play hard.

Where has Tolene travelled to:  California, Las Vegas, New York, Miami, Orlando, Spain, Paris, Berlin, Amsterdam,  Mauritius, Namibia, Sao Tome & Principe, Every nook and cranny in South Africa, England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales (the last four being a common occurance)

Shelley Phillips - Marketing Executive

Shelley grew up in the KwaZulu-Natal Province on the east coast of South Africa. Here she studied Travel and Tourism before starting her career with Thompson's South Africa in Durban in 1997 as an Inbound Travel Consultant. She loves the inbound travel industry and remained in this sector while living in Dubai and on arrival in the UK. She has gained experience in some great companies tailor-making holidays to Southern Africa but more recently she is involved in the Sales and Marketing side of things.

Favourite spot in the world:   Africa pulls at Shelley's heart strings and keeps her wanting more. It's so diverse....she wouldn't be able to choose a favourite part but does know there's lots more to see!

Favourite thing about travelling: Travelling to Shelley is... feeling the atmosphere of a place by tasting the local food and wine, being involved with the local people and taking in all that's around her through the lens of the camera!

Favourite thing about the Travel Industry: Shelley loves the friendly manner in which the travel industry conducts itself. The Africa industry in particular is small, focused and passionate about their product.
